Emailing Statements

Once you’ve run a batch of Contribution Statements, verified they are correct and published them, it’s time to send them to your congregation.  Let’s take a look at how to email a personalized statement to each member.

To email a batch of statements to the individual donors, first click on the
Email button on the page menu (while viewing the batch of statements that you wish to send).

Keep in mind that the batch and statements all need to be Published before sending them. For more information on the status of statements, see our support article, Contribution Statement Status.

To email a single contribution statement, click on the blue vertical ellipsis icon to the right of that Donor report’s row and then click Send Email.

Both the batch and the single statement process will be the same from here.

Clicking this will open a pop-up window to walk through the custom email process.

The first step will be selecting the Sender. Remember all outgoing emails must come from a
Verified Sender in your Empower account.

You’ll then select a time and date for the email to be delivered.

Next, you will be asked for a subject for the email and text for the email itself.

These can be completely customized.  You can also utilize data from profile fields by clicking on the Merge Field drop-down menu. (ex. {{Donor's_name}} will insert the specific donor’s name for that statement)

After clicking next, verify the email’s format and content and click Send.

Your statements will now be delivered securely to your donor’s inbox.
